Following its change of status from a City Technology College to an Academy, Landau Forte College in Derby built new facilities to accommodate a growing student population and improve learning provision.

An IP network implemented by STS is at the heart of the East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust's (EMAS) new Accident and Emergency Control Centre which responds to over 667,000 emergency calls each year.

DATA CENTRE FACILITY EXTENDS LIFE OF LEGACY APPLICATIONS

The Data Centre Services division of Structured Technology Services were appointed by McKesson to meet the challenge of implementing a high speed network infrastructure compatible with legacy applications, resulting in the most efficient data centre design possible utilising a mix of cabinets and connections.  The solution involved one of the first installations of metric Raised Floor Enclosures within the UK.

When faced with the need to replace aging servers, PRIMIS+ looked to STS for a solution.   A virtual server environment was provided which maximised network performance and allowed business systems management from one single central point.

STS WIRELESS SOLUTION ENABLES REAL-TIME STOCK UPDATES

Against a very challenging timescale, Cadbury needed to implement a wireless solution which provided total coverage for its UK manufacturing and warehousing operations. This would allow accurate tracking of stock and ingredients as they passed through various processes of manufacture through to despatch.

STS NETWORK ENABLES WIRELESS BAR-CODE SCANNING

From their base in Derbyshire, the Advanced Composites Group manufactures woven and unidirectional glass, carbon, synthetic and natural fibre reinforced pre-impregnated composite materials for a wide variety of general and specialist industrial applications.

In order to keep track of products as they are produced, they worked with STS who installed a wireless network to enable them to maintain stock levels in real-time using bar-code scanning technology.
