IP Address format (IPv4) days are numbered
February 2011
IPv4 addresses are confi dently predicted to run out by the end of 2011 according to the
Internet Society. At that point all new Internet connected devices will need to follow a different
format (IPv6) which will provide a far larger pool of addresses than the current version. Please
contact us if you have any concerns or wish to know what the potential impact of IPv6 will
be on your business systems - we’ll be happy to discuss your individual requirements with you.
